OSX 10.3.2 Workgroup Manager Server
We have an original xServe running 10.3.2 Server, setup as an Open Directory server and a Windows PDC. Everything seems to work o.k. but we have a few queries on three things.
1) When adding computers to the Computer list, if we browse for new machines, only a few show up. All are running 10.3.2 client, and are a mix of brand new Emacs (seem to be visible) slightly older eMacs (not visible) and various iMacs (some visible, some not). Where are we going wrong, and what do we need to be active for these to be visible. They seem to be all identical. Adding manually makes the macs work o.k. but browsing would be nice.
2) If we log into the server over AFP, we can masquerade as the admin user if we don't know the normal users password, but cannot do this with the computer log on as we could back in the days of Macintosh Manager. Why?
3) Print quotas for clients don't alert you to the fact that you are over your quota. The prints don't come out, but students don't know if the print isn't working or if they are over quota. Any ideas again?
