Netatalk running on FC6 problems mounting volumes on OSX 10.4.8

I set up an AFP server running on Fedora Core 6 and Netatalk 2.0.3. I have a 750 gig RAID5 running on a HighPoint RocketRAID 2310. It's used mainly as a backup volume for my Powerbook and a place to store my iTunes library. Everything was running fine for several weeks, but now I cannot mount any volumes on my Netatalk server. I can connect to the server via command+k and see the list of available volumes. However, when I try and mount a volume, the connection times out and I get the following dialog: "The Finder cannot complete the operation because some data in "afp://X.X.X.X" could not be read or written. (Error code -36). Nothing changed on the server. The only thing that changed on my Powerbook was the installation of some Epson scanner software. Now for the wierd part. At first it would only hang when trying to mount the RAID volume. I could mount my home directory, copy files to it, etc. I then made a symlink of the RAID volume into my home directory. I restarted netatalk and tried to mount my home directory.... pffffft.... nothing. I can connect to other AFP servers, but not this one. I've reinstalled and reconfigured netatalk... same results. I also tried safe-booting OSX... nothing. I'm out of ideas. If anyone here can help me, I'd appreciate it! Thanks in advance.
