Moving from leopard to snow, different machines.

Hi all, I am in the process of migrating our server from Leopard to Snow Leopard, but we are doing the move to a different machine so that we can test everything before enabling the new server... I been trying to migrate our users and groups from the OD store, and i am getting mixed signals from the manuals. i have tried to do: "dsexport exportedUsers.out /LDAPv3/127.0.0.1 dsRecTypeStandard:Users" but that obviously only exports the user records, i have tried using dsRecordsAll but it does not work with that. My Question is, what is the best way to "migrate" the OD database to another machine? why does the User Admin manual suggest the usage of dsexport instead of using the Archive from the Server Admin - Open Directory tab? Any help would be appreciated.
