Mirrored startup disk on PowerMac-based OSX Server

Hi all, I am thinking of migrating our *BSD file server to OS X Server, however I have not been able to find out whether mirroring of the startup drive on OS X server is feature of the OS or the Xserve hardware. Basically my question is will I be able to mirror the startup drive of an PowerMac G4 running OS X Server 10.3?
