Migration to a new domain – Any pitfalls, and or recommendations?

My company is going to migrating from an older domain to a new one. As we've only recently (within the last 2 months) started using AD for authentication, I was unsure of what things to watch out for during a migration. Can anyone point me to a domain migration primer or something similar? Thanks!
