Mass deployment of MS Office and Adobe CS2 updates

Both companies release updaters that are almost worthless using ARD to deploy. Anyone have any ideas on how they can be remotely deployed without babysitting each computer when updating. Does anyone know if there is method for converting these installers to a package (packagemaker snapshot for deploying the whole 500mb folder is unrealistic as well). I must be missing something. I can not imagine we are ALL making new images everytime Microsoft or Adobe updates something... I welcome any ideas. Thanks.
