looking for 10.3.1 spam filter tactics

greetings I have a new mail system online and i would like to itegrate some spam filters without any major hassles in setup. in regards to the this article: https://www.afp548.com/Articles/mail/spam2.html would this configuration still be valid on OSX base install ? What are other people people using. is the setup for spamassasin and clamav still valid on 10.3 server or are there some "gotchas" that have not been updated on the web site. ref this article: https://www.afp548.com/Articles/Jaguar/eximandamavis.html this is based on EXIM,... I'm just cautious about being adventerous :) Thanks for any input you may have.
