Leopard SUS and index.sucatalog file

We have set up a local leopard server for performing software updates on customer computers. The only way I can get it to work it to go into the index.sucatalog file and change all entries of my domain name to the IP address of my SUS. (like 4000 entries BBedit works nice) Once this is done all clients can access the SUS. After an undetermined amount of time the index.sucatalog file changes back to my domain(http://leo.private:8088 instead of http://192.168.123.55:8088 which works). Is there a way to make this setting stay in the index.sucatalog file without haveing to change it every hour?
