Leopard SMB issue binding with Window Server 2008

My ITS team is having a difficulty to make a domain AD Macs to recognize window server 2008 with file sharing - SMB:// . It worked flawlessly with Window Server 2003. Any tips/advices would be greatly appreciated! TIA
