InstaDMG with 10.5.7 and 10.5.8

With Karl (larkost, main developer) likely off the project, I wonder how anyone's doing with rolling a 10.5.7 or 10.5.8 based image with the code we have now? I'm sticking with 10.5.5 and 10.5.6 (for nehalem) as I've failed to get a reliable dmg using the images of our install DVDs and the apple updaters. Right now it's not problematic - there are one or two fixes in 10.5.8 i'd love to have - but when something tips my hand (a critical app update requires a later OS rev, or Safari 4 is required etc) I'm going to end up running the large combo updaters post-hoc on 10.5.6 imaged machines. boo hoo for me, eh :-)
