instaDMG & software update servers

I've not seen documentation on this so forgive me if I've missed something but... It strikes me that I can save time by having instaUp2Date grab Apple download/checksums from our own hosted Software Update Server. Does the software have that capability? I've run a few searches here in the forum and not seen anything. I've also looked at the code but I'm not a python-er, so my cursory look at the code didn't turn up much.
