I’m I doing this correctly?

I'm new to playing with making images for the Mac so I just want to make sure I'm doing this correctly. OS version - 10.6 First I downloaded & printed the PDF document for installation steps off of the googlecode site. I've followed the first three commands to the 'T' since I used the cut and paste method of entering the commands, but I'm not sure if the file sizes it's producing is correct? I thought the retail version of OS X was around 7.6x GB? When I run the second command that creates the base image it's coming out at 5.55GB (and takes about 45 minutes just like the instructions says it will) The third command, that takes the image from the above step and updates it is producing a file that is only 4.39GB (not sure how long it took, I had to step out and take care of some stuff). Do these file sizes sound correct so far? If they do then I guess I'm onto the next hurdle and figuring out how to also include other applications in the build LOL Mark
