Group folders and WGM

Is it me or do group folders not work in WGM. I have yet to get this to work, it automounts but there are no group folders.... Also The "Add Group Folders to Dock" never works either. I have noticed the only automounting share point that really works for me is Users. I have tried others as well and permissions are always a mess. Any ideas?
