File become "Read Only" when using "Save As&q

Whenever the users of one of my groups tries to save a copy of a file in their group folder located on the server using "Save As", the new copy of the doc and its Group permission changes to "Read Only". And none of the other group users can modifiy it. I tried also changing the file to a Template and still the same result. Q: is this a permission issue with how I've set up the group? Or is it a personallity traite with 10.2 Server?
