In Panther I was able to change the /etc/authentication file to allow my users to use a kerberos password to obtain a ticket and thus authenticate in to the Mac. I cannot seem to get this to work in tiger. When I make the same change (builtin:krb5authnoverify line in the system.login.console mechanism array) the login screen just exits to the console. Also, I don't know where to make the change for the screen saver.
So, Anyone go Tiger authenticating against kerberos? We are using NIS for credentials and MIT kerberos for authentication.
Thanks,
Allan
