EFI and Bluetooth Firmware effects on InstaDMG

Hello all, I'm preparing to try InstaDMG to create our images for the first time (having come from a monolithic image creation background), and I have a question regarding firmware. When I place all the pkg files into the hierarchy to create the image the first time, is the firmware update something I have to do separately for each machine I'm going to image? I'm not sure what will happen (monolithic image or not) with the firmware updates. For example, even if I create my perfect machine with the firmware update, will I have to re-apply that firmware update when I push the image onto a new machine (which doesn't have the update)?
