ECM??Mail Server System for OSX Server 10.3* (Panther)

Does anyone have some experience with ECM http://maxo.captainnet.net/installs/mailserver/index.html ? The package seems really great and may be it's a better alternative to the Apple solution (reasons: cyrus, SASL, ... are out of date and they are not obvious to compile and install in their new versions) I'll appreciate any hint, intuitive or based on some experience
