Core i5, i7 based Macbook and InstaDMG

I'm finding that Core iX based Macbooks are not booting using my InstaDMG based images, probably because it's a different build of 10.6.3 that comes pre loaded onto these machines. During EFI Boot it just gets hung on trying to load the system extensions mtexts So I thought, what if I took InstaDMG, and instead of the retail Snow Leopard DVD, used the Macbook based 10.6.3 DVD. That should solve the issue but I don't now if InstaDMG would act funny. What do people think about going with this approach? Anyone try other ways to get their existing InstaDMG images to work on Core i5, i7 based systems?
