I am in the process of improving our NetBoot environment. Currently, our admins have to copy NB images around to the various NB servers, which is annoying. I thought Xsan would sovlve this, but you can't host NB images from Xsan volumes.

This is REALLY annoying. So, I thought another possible solution would be to use host LUN filtering. i.e. Map a LUN to one server as read/write, and to the rest of the servers as read-only. The problem is, while the Mac to which filtering is set to read-only can 'see' the storage, it won't mount it.
Has anyone any suggestions as to whether or not I can provide concurrent read-only access to SAN volumes w/o Xsan?
