Can’t bind Lion Server to AD

Hi all, Trying to bind a Lion Server to a Win 2k8 AD. Client can bind ok but the server keeps getting: Authentication Server can not be contacted.(5200) Same problem using dsconfigad Lots of people in the same boat on different forums - some have success after fsck but not reliable :( Anybody here come across this?
