Authenticating Redhat to Open Directory

Has anyone tried authenticating their Redhat clients to OD or other Open LDAP server? I am curious what kind of issues you are seeing and how you went about it. I know this is a bit backwards to some of you, but I just don't want to redo ldap on linux, I really like the OD interface and how well it works with windows.
