I have been having heaps of problems with our Xserve G5 running 10.3.9. For a month it will run beautifully without any problems having about 20 to 25 mac and 3 windows users connected at any one time.
But all of a sudden the afp will kick most (sometimes all) the mac users off and I have to either restart the service of reboot the server.
I have read and was told by someone that there are known issues with the AFP and samba services on the 10.3.x servers but I haven't been able to find any good fixes on the net.
If anyone has any help and fixes I could try then help would be grand.
The xserve is setup as a standalone server, running AFP, OD, print and Windows FS. Mainly used for the 20+ macs (all on os x) and a few PCs logging onto 1 folder.
