Apple Talk not responding

I recently installed OSX server 10.3.2. On that day printing was OK. That was on a Saturday. The next monday when I returned I was unable to print. I would get a message that AppleTalk was not enabled in system preferences. But the AppleTalk is enabled. I tried to disable make a restart but to no avail. How can I get out of that situation.
