apple support messed me all up
Hello all,
I had a production server that was ailing a bit, so after contacting apple enterprise support, they suggested I backup some key data and start anew.
I did as suggested. I reinstalled the OS from scratch, updated it to the latest version, recreated all users and groups using the exact users IDs as the production server, then restoring the user folders.
One other thing they had me backup was /Library/CalendarServer. This way I could restore it on my new server and retain all existing calendars. Well unfortunately this didnt work. I replaced the directory with the backup and whenever somone opens a network calender in iCal it says the uid is not found. So obviously the long ID strings in the CalendarServer folder do not match my recreated users.
My question is:
1. Is there a way to get this to work by migrating it somehow?
2. If not, how can I get back to a functional 'blank' calendar server in which I can manually import calendar data?
Thanks very much, this is the last thing holding me up from getting my server fully functional.
