APC Powerchute Network Shutdown (PCNS)

Has anybody had any experience of using APC Powerchute Network Shutdown - I need to use it to shut down my OSX server and my Filemaker server. When PCNS recieves a shutdown message from the APC units network management card I would like to initiate a backup then stop the server. Unfortunately I am not running a domino or enterprise server so no scripts were supplied. Thier support people were of no help, neither were filemaker. In fact Filemaker support told me categorically today that Server 5.5 could not be controlled from the command line or by any kind of scripting - is this correct? Does anbody know how to write a script to run a schedule and stop the server? Stephen plan-b@ntlworld.com
