Adding Network printer’s with options

I have a pretty good handle on how to add printers via lpadmin as well as setting options like installed memory via lpoptions during the image creation. What I have noticed though is that if I set a printers installed memory to say 128 and the default was 16mb the lpoption command reports 128mb but if I go into the printer setup via the GUI I only see the original default amount of 16mb. My question is two fold, 1. Is the GUI just reporting this wrong? 2. How inportant is it to set the installed memory value for a printer? Thanks Troy
