adding Combo update causes kernel panic on boot?

This is my inititial attempt to use InstaDMG. I've built and installed basic images from the 10.5 DVD, as well as with an additional custom package that does various local configurations without any problems. However, if I include a "Combo" update ( I've tried both 10.5.6 and 10.5.7, ) my test system kernel panics when I try to boot it after applying the image. I've removed all my custom stuff, so this is occurring when using an image generated with nothing beyond the base OS install and a Combo update included. The only customization I'm applying is my choices file; [code] PrinterDriversGroup AdditionalFonts LanguageTranslations [/code] I'm using InstaDMG_1.4b4. My test machine is an Intel Mini ... I'm running InstaDMG from the same machine when booted from an external FW drive. I've applied Combo updates to the system after installing from a BaseOS-only build done with InstaDMG with no problems. The output of my dmg build is below.
