10.5.8 images revisited

I've been reading how to successfully create an image for 10.5.8 and I'm not real clear as to what I'm suppose to do. I read somewhere in the archives of this forum that using Instadmg v250 would work, but that isn't working. Was there a clear way of creating a PPC 10.5.8 image using instaup2date?
