10.4.10 Server: Migration from NetInfo to Open Directory

I'm trying to help a client add a second Xserve (for AFP/SMB file sharing, among other things) to their network. Original Xserve is a PPC machine running 10.4.10 and primarily being used as a mail server. It's running as a standalone server (i.e. all user accounts are NetInfo). New Xserve is an Intel machine also running 10.4.10. I set up the original server as an Open Directory master, the new one as a Replica, and attempted to migrate the original server via Server Admin (as described here): http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=ServerAdmin/10.4/en/c5od22.html Only issue is, the "Migrate" button is not enabled/the status shows that NetInfo is Stopped (yet mail continues to work on the original server). Thoughts on how to make this happen? Obviously weird things would likely happen if I re-created new OD users with the same usernames as the existing mail users... more likely I'd abandon OD and just use the new server as a Standalone and recreate all of the accounts, but that'd be a pain... Looking for thoughts/ideas/suggestions....
