10.4 Mail server inbox corruption?

Hi I am running 10.4.10 mail server. The power was cut in the building and the server went offline. since this time, whenever one of my users poll's his inbox using IMAP in mail, the circle indicating progress never finishes, although new emails come in. I've accessed it using Outlook on Windows XP and get a message that vaguely says that it could not complete downloading the headers. I suspect the email DB has corrupted that one box (all other boxes circles will complete fine). I would had it been another folder, just copied all emails out and erased it, but it will not allow me to because it is the inbox. Can someone please suggest a way to either repair the inbox, or else erase and recreate just that box? many thanks Scott
