10.3.3 PDC/Change Password Issues

Anybody else using 10.3.3 as a PDC and having issues in the change password area (XP CLIENTS - CNTRL-ALT-DEL and selecting change password)? At first it was giving me a "domain not available" error...trolling the Samba lists led me to a workaroudn -- uninstall a MS hotfix (828741 i believe)...now i'm getting the error message that the username or password is not correct (only when I try to change the PW--logins are fine)...it appears that this may be corrected in Samba 3.03--which doesnt appear to be something that apple plans to include in the 10.3.4 update which was seeded to developers. i want to roll out this server but need to have my windows users the ability to change their passwords first (gotta set a default password cause our old server is 10.1--cant migrate passwords to open directory). any suggestions??
