When NTP doesn't keep things in synch like you thought...

This is an interesting kbase from Apple that walks you through using a different ntp.conf file so that your clock synchronization happens faster. It uses the iburst setting which should synch your clocks quicker when NTP starts up.

Since time is so important, especially when in a Kerberos environment, this is something worthwhile to at least be aware of.

This option, according to isc website, is considered agressive on servers and
should not be used on server which are not yours or on which you're not given
the authorization to do it.

Anyway, Apple explains us how to do it and uses its own ntp server as
example it may be considered as an explicit authorization to do it, I guess :)
